In our English class, we are reading the Diary of Anne Frank, the play. In the book, it gives us a passage of her diary. Reading the excerpt showed me how much Anne was frustrated because she was so outgoing, she didn’t really “fit in”. One of my favorite quotes is,”Mummy adds her bit of advice the pile of sermons becomes so insurmountable that in my despair I become so rude and start contradicting and then, of course, the old well-known Anne watchword come back:’No one understands me’”. Living in hiding with one family and a man is very tiring for Anne. Evryone that seems to have a problem with her is everyone except for Peter. Later on, she develops ”feelings” for Peter. Compared to my life, I can see how much more hectic Anne’s is compared to mine.
A lot of kids my age play all kinds of sports. For me, one of the only sport I’ve ever enjoyed is tennis. I can go and play tennis and nothing else going on would matter. It is very relaxing and exciting at the same time. I love it when I get a new racket and get to try it out for the first time. Some of my favorite players are Maria Sharapova and Roger Federer. I am the one who is always talking. Whenever you walk into the classroom, you will hear me speaking. I think that it is important to talk because you can state your opinion about something and make a conversation more interesting. Talking to my friends is a way for me to express my opinions and feeling.
I am the one who is cheerful. Whenever someone is feeling bad, I say a joke and we all start laughing again. It hurts me to see one of my friends upset so I make them laugh instead. I think that I brighten up the room when it is gloomy.
I am the one who is lively. I am always doing something, whether it is talking, jumping, laughing, or playing. I don’t think that sitting around is the best way to go about your day. I love being lively because it makes my day interesting. Being lively is something that I enjoy.
